If you’re a complete beginner looking to start a career in floristry or a flower lover who wants to explore further, then the Arrangement course is the perfect place to start. This course provides hands-on experience right from day one, create floral arrangements for all sorts of occasions and styles with the support of experienced tutors.
Unlike other courses, we focus on practical learning rather than coursework and classroom assessments. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a freelance or shop florist, start your own business, or even enter floristry and flower arranging competitions. In short, you’ll be fully prepared to take on the world of flowers.
This unit is a great starting point for a career in floristry as it explores all areas of design. With sustainability such an important topic we will encourage you to explore a range of foam free floral mediums so that you choose the mediums that suit you and your business style. Create a variety of arrangement techniques including different design shapes, placement of flowers, proportions and scale which will build your confidence to make beautiful floral arrangements for a full range of occasions. This is a really essential unit for all florists.

Continued Support after the course has finished;
You will have access to real-time, step-by-step filmed demonstrations led by our master florists, Julie and Tina. They will share insider tips and tricks as they guide you through each design. You are also able to join our Academy students forum where we share all sorts of useful information and you can ask questions that are answered by Academy students and tutors.

These courses can be built up, mixed and matched with our online course to fit around your lifestyle/business needs.
Materials and Support;
We provide a full flower package for this course which includes all your flowers, foliage, floral mediums and use of tools and sundries. This can take all the stress out of preparing for your course in advance allowing you to just turn up, knowing everything will be taken care of. This can save you time and energy sourcing all the materials you need.
If you have access to wholesale flowers or grow your own you may prefer to bring your own, in this case we can provide you with a detailed list of what to bring each day.
Pathway to Advanced Certification;
You will receive a British Academy of Floral Art certificate of completion for this course. Expand your knowledge by building different subjects relevant to your business. Once you have completed three practical units plus we recommend the business and heart of design you are able to sit the Exam unit. This is a two day course over two different weeks and includes a mock exam, support and development plan to focus your practice on speed, confidence and commercial ability for the final exam.

I can't recommend the Academy highly enough. The tutors are amazing, so enthusiastic and
generous with their knowledge of the industry. The huge emphasis on practical sessions
enables budding florists to gain experience whilst developing their own style. I have also
