If you are a beginner or want to add to your floristry skills, then this is the perfect place to start. This course provides hands-on experience from day one, allowing you to learn and practice techniques with the guidance of experienced tutors.

Unlike other courses, we focus on practical learning rather than coursework and classroom assessments. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a freelance or shop florist, start your own business, or even enter floristry and flower arranging competitions. In short, you’ll be fully prepared to take on the world of flowers!

Ignite Your Floristry Career;

Embark on your floristry journey with our comprehensive Funeral Course, designed to immerse you in every area of funeral design. This is such an interesting area of floristry and being able create high quality work can enable your business to stand out.

This course delves into a variety of trending funeral and memorial design styles and shapes, employing a range of different mediums from traditional formal designs to more informal modern design ideas. Through detailed demonstrations by your tutor, you will acquire the skills, techniques, and confidence to craft stunning funeral and memorial designs.

Enjoy the camaraderie and networking potential with your fellow Academy students, supported by your tutor who can guide and support you through the course. Our beautiful studio is a relaxed, calming place to be in and during the good weather you will have the use of the garden to enjoy your lunch. You will also be supported with access to filmed demonstrations for two years of the key designs to enable you to review whenever you need a refresher or want to practice a design. This also allows us to adapt the in class designs to be the most current and most relivant for the group.

Continued Support after the course has finished;

Gain access to real-time, step-by-step filmed demonstrations led by our master florists, Julie and Tina. They will share insider tips and tricks as they guide you through each design. You are also able to join our Academy student's forum where we share all sorts of useful information and you can ask questions that are anwered by Academy students and tutors.

These courses can be built up, mixed and matched with our online course to fit around your lifestyle/business needs.

Materials and Support;

We provide a flower package for this course which includes all your flowers, foliage, floral mediums and sundries. This takes all the stress out of preparing for your course in advance allowing you to just turn up, knowing everything will be taken care of. This can save you time and energy sourcing all the materials you need.

If you have access to wholesale flowers or grow your own you may prefer to bring your own, in this case we can provide you with a detailed list of what to bring each day.

Pathway to Advanced Certification;

Expand your knowledge by building different subjects relevant to your business. Once you have completed three practical units and the business and heart of design you are able to sit the exam unit. This is a two day course over two different weeks and includes a mock exam, support and development plan to focus your practice on areas to develop and the final exam.
