Well done to all
the students who stepped up to the challenge of providing funeral tributes for the new film “St George’s day”
being shot in South London.
Tina received a call from Elstree Studio’s on Wednesday asking whether our students would like to provide tributes
for a film shoot on Saturday. Not much notice, but the student rose to the challenge and tributes started arriving from all
over the South West : Tavistock, Bude, Cullumpton, Exeter, Bovey Tracy and Newton Abbot. By Friday evening we had 12 tributes
to pack into a van, (kindly donated by Tina’s friend Karen) ready for a 2am departure.
We drove up in two vehicles and arrived at Nunhead Cemetery London by 7.00am. The tributes
where unloaded and everyone was amazed at the quality and originality. After we helped load the beautiful
horse drawn Hurst with the tributes we then wondered up to the set, to hang around and be extras for the day. Let’s
hope they don’t edit us out of the film!
